Stalder, 74, Excelsior Springs, Mo., passed away Saturday, December 10, 2011 at the University of Kansas Medical Center. Donnie was born on November 13, 1937 in Ridgely, Mo., the son of John and Marie (Stobaugh) Stalder. He worked as a painter, and painted trucks for Kenworth and then later going to work painting Jets for TWA/American Airlines. He retired in 2003. On May 23, 1992 he married Juanita (Massey) Tilk, who survives of the home. He was a member of the Elks Lodge in Excelsior Springs. Survivors include his wife, Juanita Stalder of the home; one daughter, Dawn Stalder of Kansas City, Mo.; one son, Bob Stalder and his wife, Darla, of Kansas City, Mo.; one sister, Sharon Kramer of Excelsior Springs, Mo.; three grandchildren, Ryan Cordova, Amanda Stalder, and Michael Stalder; one great-granddaughter, Keiley Cordova; three step-sons, Ray, Jerry, and Michael Tilk; and many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Donnie was preceded in death by two brothers, Neal and Kenneth Stalder. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, December 14, 2011 at the Polley Funeral Home, Excelsior Springs, Mo. Burial will be in the Ridgely Cemetery, Ridgely, Mo. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. The family suggests memorial contributions be given to the KU Medical Center Pulmonary Unit in Donnie's memory.
