Sign Guest Book Mary Anne Allen Mary Anne (Anderson) Allen, 89, Excelsior Springs, Mo., passed away Tuesday, January 24, 2012, at the Excelsior Springs Convalescent Center. Mrs. Allen was born July 26, 1922, in Richmond, Mo., the daughter of Charles W. and Maude (Kincaid) Allen. She married Jim Allen on September 4,1949, in Richmond, Mo. Jim preceded her in death on September 15, 2006. Mary was born and raised in Richmond, Mo. She graduated from Central Methodist University in Fayette, Mo. Mary had a life long career as a school teacher in the Excelsior Springs school system. Besides her husband, Jim, Mary was preceded in death by her parents. Mary is survived by two sons, Bill Allen, and Steve Allen and his wife, Jane, both of Des Moines, Iowa; and two granddaughters, Kate and Margaret Allen. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m., Saturday, January 28, 2012 at the Polley Funeral Home in Excelsior Springs, Mo. A private burial will be in the Masonic Cemetery in Excelsior Springs, Mo.
