Sign Guest Book Mabel Chrystine Yoakum Mabel Chrystine (Coats) Yoakum, 77, Ray County, Mo., passed away August 24, 2008 at Shirkey Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Richmond, Mo. Mabel ("Nanny") was born December 18, 1930 to Roy and Ethel (Beam) Coats. She was married March 3, 1949 to James Daniel Yoakum of Ray County, Mo. Mabel is preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Ethel; husband, Jim; brothers, Floyd and Albert Dean; and sisters, Gladys Nadine and Selma Juanita O'Dell. Survivors include: daughter, Vicki Thompson, who loved and cared for her day in and day out, and son-in-law, Terry; Richmond, Mo.; daughter, Karen; son Larry; seven grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; brother, Leonard Allen, Glendale, Ariz.; sisters, Naomi Thomas, Richmond, Mo.; and L'Berta Shelton, Pinehurst, N.C. Visitation will be held Wednesday between 11 a.m. and noon, August 27, 2008 at the Polley Funeral Home in Richmond, Mo. The funeral service will immediately follow the visitation. Burial will be at the New Hope Cemetery in Millville, Mo. The family wishes to thank the nursing staff at Shirkey Nursing & Rehabilitation Center and Vitas Hospice Group for their love and support that helped Mabel and the family in the final days of her life.
