Paul Daniel
Paul Lee Daniel, 76, formally of Ray County, died peacefully at 8:45 p.m. January 18, 2012, at his home in Norborne, surrounded by his loving wife, son, family and dogs. Paul was born September 20, 1935 in Rayville to Charles Lester and Florence (Hendricks) Daniel. He married Candice “Candy” Daniel of Oak Grove on November 21, 1993; she survives of the home.
Paul had worked many various jobs all of his life. He was once employed at Lake City and with the Richmond Water Department. He was a master plumber. He previously owned and operated a gas station in Richmond, as well as his own plumbing and ditching business for many years. He ended his work career as a machine operator with Lyons Die Casting. Paul loved to read and fish. Paul had a green thumb like no other. He could stick a “stick” anywhere in the ground, and it would grow. He loved to tinker in his garage and play with wood, when he wasn’t trying to cut his thumbs off with his table saw.
In addition to his wife, other survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Philip and Lori Daniel of Lee’s Summit; a step-son and his wife, Joe and Brandy Marble of Boonville; a step-daughter and her husband, Rebecca and Jamie Christenson of Lonsdale, Minn.; six grandchildren, Kevin Daniel, Emily Daniel, Haley Christenson, Avery Christenson, Alexis Marble, and Hannah Marble; four sisters, Pearl Appleton of Chandler, Ariz., Annie Stalder of Excelsior Springs, Nora Fields of Richmond, and Mary Rimmer of Lathrop; his former wife, Ruby Daniel of Richmond; a very special nephew, Tony Fields of Richmond; and many other nieces, nephews, friends and three dogs, Bell, Freckles and Little Bit.
.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his step-father, Cecil Rimmer, his brother, Kenneth W. Rimmer, and a nephew, Terry Don Fields.
Because of Paul’s love of flowers and plants, the family suggests planting a tree or flower in honor of him. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions in Paul’s name to funds that help a neighbor who is in need, a young person needing scholarship funds, your local Hospice, the American Cancer Society, or a charity of your choice.
Funeral services will be Saturday, January 21, 2012 at Old Union Christian Union Church, Lawson, Mo. Visitation will be at the church from 1 to 2 p.m., with services immediately following. Arrangements are by Polley Funeral Home, Richmond, Mo.

To My Sister Candy and Family,
My deepest sympathy goes out to all of you during this sorrowful time. I know that all of our hearts are breaking with the loss of Paul, however God is rejoicing in the fact that he has received an extraordinary Angel this week. I am there with you in spirit.
Love Denise
