Borgmier went to be with the Lord and loved ones on January 5, 2012 at the Liberty Hospital following a brief illness. Roy was born on May 1, 1938 to John W. and Colene (stair) Borgmier. Roy was a member of the Old Union Christian Union Church, Lawson, Mo. He graduated from Lawson High School and the University of Missouri-Columbia. He was employed for several years by farm implement finance companies. He later became a realtor. He was a retired farmer. Roy was active in the Lawson Rotary Club. He was inducted as a member of the Paul Harris Fellow Club by his fellow Rotarians. Roy served on the boards of Shirkey Leisure Acres and the Ray County Soil and Water Conservayion District for many years. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Ralph W. Borgmier. He is survived by one sister, Nada E. Austin, and one brother, Randy J. Borgmier, and several cousins. Cremation. Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, January 11, 2012 at the Old Union Christian Union Church, Lawson, Mo. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services Wednesday at the church. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests, memorial contributions be given to the Triennium Project, c/o Old Union Christian Union Church, Hwy. C, Lawson, MO 64062. Arrangements are through Polley Funeral Home, Lawson, Mo. So very sad to read of Roy's passing. He was a good friend and schoolmate since country school.
