Sign Guest Book Ruth Clark Ruth Colene Clark, 87, Lawson, Mo., passed away Thursday, August 14, 2008 at the Excelsior Springs Convalescent Center. Colene was born on May 14, 1921 in Lawson, Mo., the daughter of John Ernest and Viola Jane (Mellon) Green. On March 21, 1938 she married Robert Clark, who preceded her in death on January 24, 1989. She worked as a homemaker. She enjoyed gardening and working in her yard. She also loved to go fishing. She was a member of the United Christian and Presbyterian Church in Lawson, Mo. Survivors include her daughter, Belinda Sapp and husband, Ron, Excelsior Springs, Mo.; two grandchildren, Mendy Edwards and husband, Sterling, and Chris Sapp; and four great-grandchildren, Landry and Dawson Edwards and Britnee and Makayla Sapp. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday, August 18, 2008 at the Polley Funeral Home, Lawson, Mo. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services from 1 until 2 p.m. Monday at the Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Lawson Cemetery, Lawson, Mo. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be given to Excelsior Springs Hospice. Belinda & Ron & Family Our sincere sympathy to your family. I'm just sorry I couldn't do more to make her comfortable in her last days with us but I did all I could.
