Robert "Bob" Walker

Robert Perry "Bob" Walker, 55, Excelsior Springs, Mo., passed away July 20, 2012 in Excelsior Springs, Mo., due to a work related accident. Bob was born on August 1, 1956 in Kansas City, Mo., the son of Robert Franklin and Linda Ruth (Stanton) Walker.

He loved model airplanes and anything else remote control. He also liked mushroom hunting and he used to like to go fishing with his daughter, Mindy, before she passed away.

Survivors include his mother, Linda Walker of Wood Heights, Mo.; his companion, Gayla Baker of the home; one sister, Laura A. Preston and husband, Mike of Liberty, Mo.; two brothers, Ronald H. Walker and wife, Brenda of Wood Heights, Mo., and Russell L. Walker of Wood Heights, Mo.; and several nieces and nephews.

Bob was preceded in death by his father and his daughter, Mindy Walker.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, July 24, 2012 at the Polley Funeral Home, Excelsior Springs, Mo. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 25, 2012 at the Hillcrest Cemetery, Excelsior Springs, Mo.
