Sign Guest Book Sandra Thurman Sandra Joyce Thurman, 74, Independence, Mo., passed away, Monday, December 12, 2011 at the Center Point Medical Center in Independence, Mo. Sandra was born November 11, 1937, in Corder, Mo., the daughter of Otis and Edna Madge (Poe) Thurman. Ms. Thurman retired as a engineering aid for AT&T. She had worked for AT&T for 33 years. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Bobbie Poe Thurman, and an infant sister, Wyota Faye Thurman. Survivors include one brother, Charles Thurman and his wife, Ruth, of Excelsior Springs, and one nephew, Ronald L. Thurman of California. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Cremation.
