Sign Guest Book Virgie O'Dell Virgie (Overman) O'Dell, 91, Gladstone, Mo., passed away Thursday, January 12, 2012, at the North Care Hospice House in North Kansas City, Mo. Mrs. O'Dell was born March 12, 1920, in Orrick, Mo., the daughter of Silas and Ila May (Gaines) Overman. She married Howard O'Dell on August 18, 1944. He preceded her in death in 1994. Mrs. O'Dell was a homemaker. Virgie was a member at The Moment of Truth Bible Baptist Church in Kansas City, Mo. In addition to her husband, Howard, she was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, a half brother, and one sister. Mrs. O'Dell is survived by three children, Nancy Hays, Gail Potter and Mike O'Dell; one sister, Beverly O'Dell; five granddaughters, Michelle Fine, Cheryl Lowden, Holly Wu, Tammy Taylor and April Davis; six great-granddaughters, and four great-grandsons. Visitation will be from 11 a.m., Monday, January 16, 2012, followed by service at 12 p.m. at The Moment of Truth Bible Baptist Church, Kansas City, Mo. Burial will be in the O'Dell Cemetery in Orrick, Mo. Memorial donations may be made to The Moment of Truth Bible Baptist Church. Aunt Virgie was such a sweet & gentle lady. Nancy, Gail, & Mike - my prayers are with you and I know that God is able to comfort you all. I wish I could see you, but please know you are in my prayers.
